Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes that enhance efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations and drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate daily with various internal teams to resolve critical production and customer-related challenges, providing valuable support to meet business needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills, a strong attention to detail and a team-oriented approach and behavior.

What will you be doing?

  • Production planning and scheduling: Monitor production schedules and processes to ensure timely completion of key activities, create work orders as needed and communicate manufacturing capabilities to facilitate production operations.
  • Process design and improvement: Incorporate new methods and tools, troubleshoot product problems, review designs for manufacturability, train production personnel, and create/maintain assembly instructions for new production lines.
  • Quality assurance and safety: Ensure compliance with quality standards for customer satisfaction, maintain process control and conduct inspections to meet safety and performance goals.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with production teams, work with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Operations or a related discipline
  • 2 – 5 years in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on production and mechanical design
  • Proven experience in supply chain management
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases and CAD/CAM software (preferably Autodesk)
  • Solid understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensioning
  • Experience in mill and lathe machining processes, including tooling, setup and programming
